We have always been firm believers in the National Geographic Destination Map series. No other map we brought had the clarity and detail for the tourist area of Rome. We soon realized that walking around Rome was lots of fun. Of course it only takes one $30, 1.5 mile cab ride to get you motivated. Here is why we think the Rome "Destination Map" is the one to make sure you take.First, the darn thing is indestructible. It is covered with lamination and will not tear.Second, it lists every street along with just about every point of interest.Third, it shows metro stops. (walking still fun but this really extends your range)Fourth, it has insets to highlight and expand on key areas like the Vatican. Here is a link to our page for this map....Rome Destination Map Happy Exploring!
